Bio
Bonnie J. Ashmore is a painter and printmaker based on the North Shore of Massachusetts. She holds a Master of Fine Arts and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Painting, with additional studies completed in France and Italy. Bonnie currently serves as a tenured professor in the Massachusetts Community College system and was an artist-in-residence at the Chautauqua Institution for seven years.
Her painting Super Sleuth, was juried and selected by Pulitzer Prize-winning art critic Jerry Saltz for inclusion in the 57th Chautauqua Annual Exhibition of Contemporary Art. Her work was reviewed by Howard Halle, has been exhibited widely and is held in numerous private collections. Currently, Bonnie’s work is on view at Brandeis University through May 2025.
